Our Commitment
The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Owners Alliance (“CRVO Alliance”) is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, inclusive, and safe community for recreational vehicle owners and enthusiasts across Canada.
Our members come from different backgrounds, experiences, and walks of life. We encourage members to share their knowledge, experiences, opinions, and passion for RVing while treating one another with courtesy and respect.
This Code of Conduct applies to all members, directors, volunteers, participants, and other individuals representing or participating in CRVO Alliance activities, whether in person or online.

Healthy debate and differing opinions are welcome. Personal attacks and disrespectful behaviour are not.

10. Information Shared by Members
The CRVO Alliance is a community where members are encouraged to share RV-related experiences, recommendations, tips, and information.
Members should make reasonable efforts to ensure that information they share is accurate and not misleading. When providing advice, members should clearly distinguish personal experience or opinion from professional advice.
The CRVO Alliance may provide educational and informational resources contributed by members and fellow RV enthusiasts. Such information is not necessarily reviewed or verified by the CRVO Alliance.
11. Reporting Concerns
Members who experience or witness conduct that they believe violates this Code of Conduct are encouraged to report the matter to the CRVO Alliance.
Reports should provide as much relevant information as possible, including the nature of the concern, date and location, individuals involved, and any supporting information or documentation.
The CRVO Alliance will make reasonable efforts to review concerns fairly and appropriately while respecting the privacy of those involved.
Report a concern through our Contact form. Choose General and identify the subject as a Code of Conduct concern.
12. Addressing Violations
The CRVO Alliance reserves the right to take appropriate action when a member or participant violates this Code of Conduct, the CRVO Alliance's bylaws, policies, applicable event rules, or applicable laws.
Depending on the circumstances, action may include:
- A verbal or written warning;
- A request to modify or cease the conduct;
- Removal of content from CRVO Alliance-controlled platforms;
- Temporary suspension of membership or participation;
- Removal from a CRVO Alliance event or activity;
- Suspension or termination of membership; or
- Other appropriate action determined by the Board of Directors.
Serious conduct may result in immediate action where reasonably necessary to protect members, volunteers, partners, the public, or the reputation and operation of the CRVO Alliance.
Nothing in this Code of Conduct prevents the CRVO Alliance from contacting appropriate authorities where conduct may involve a violation of law or where there is a concern for someone's safety.
13. Fair & Reasonable Application
The CRVO Alliance recognizes that circumstances vary and that not every disagreement or complaint represents a violation of this Code of Conduct.
The Board of Directors, or an individual or committee authorized by the Board, will use reasonable judgment when reviewing alleged violations and determining appropriate action.
Members will generally be given an opportunity to provide their perspective before significant disciplinary action is taken, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary due to safety, serious misconduct, or other exceptional circumstances.
14. Acknowledgement
By becoming a member of the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Owners Alliance, members agree to abide by this Code of Conduct, the CRVO Alliance's bylaws, and applicable policies.
