Canadian RV Owners Alliance

Board & Leadership

The people helping CRVOA take shape.

A community thrives when people are ready to get involved, lend an ear and follow through. The CRVOA is so lucky to have such a dedicated group of volunteers who are eager to take the lead, invest their time and energy and help create a fantastic community for Canadian RV enthusiasts.

Meet the team

Robert (Bob) Heans

Robert (Bob) Heans

Chairman

Bob founded the Canadian RV Owners Alliance as a group for friends and family. It has since grown into a Facebook community of more than 15,000 members.

Bob and his wife, Joyce, are full-time RVers who enjoy travelling coast to coast with their dog, Sparky, always along for the ride. They divide their year between summers in Ontario and winters on Vancouver Island, with a Grand Design Reflection fifth wheel and a General Coach park model. As founder and Chairman, Bob brings his own experience of RV life to CRVOA’s growing community.

Louise Walker

Louise Walker

Vice Chair

Louise is retired from a career in IT and banking and lives in Ontario. She and her husband travel in their fifth wheel with their dog, with RV adventures taking them from Arizona to Newfoundland. Closer to home, she enjoys camping with her children and grandchildren throughout Ontario.

As Vice Chair, Louise wants to help CRVOA grow into a welcoming community where members share practical advice and discover more of Canada. Her interests include developing partnerships that offer member discounts, sharing travel routes and places to stay, and creating opportunities to learn online and at rallies.

Paul West

Paul West

Board Member

Paul lives in the Port Perry area of Ontario and has been camping for many years. His travels have taken him throughout Ontario and along Canada’s East Coast, and he hopes to explore Western Canada next.

After a career in the automotive collision industry, Paul is now semi-retired and operates an insurance appraisal business. As a CRVOA board member, he looks forward to connecting with fellow RV enthusiasts and sharing travel experiences, practical tips and advice. Away from the campsite, Paul enjoys spending time outdoors and taking part in seasonal sports.

Ron Haidenger

Ron Haidenger

Technical Volunteer

After retiring in 2014 from a career developing advanced technology, Ron and his wife, Linda, spent more than a decade exploring North America in their diesel pusher motorhome.

Ron continues to write, develop software and build websites. He also runs an online blood cancer support group and an AI group for people new to the technology. To give back to the RV community, he helped the Canadian RV Owners Facebook group transition from public to private and is volunteering his time and technical experience to build the CRVOA website.
